I have now reported on the 2008 Indianapolis Fringe Festival for seven days straight. I am taking today and maybe tomorrow off from seeing shows to play catch-up with my posts and my life. Even God took a break after six days, right? And God knows,... more
So I'm super-excited. I have my beloved #21 jersey on and I'm going to the Colts-Bengals pre-season game tonight at the new Lucas Oil Stadium!! Isn't it pretty with that giant window in front?! Unlike past games I've attended, and future games... more
For years, other cities have been experiencing the unique pleasures of seeing musicals in concert. In New York, they call it Encores! In L.A., it's Reprise!
Finally, Indianapolis is catching on. And while there is no exclamation-marked name for our... more

So, went to see "The Honeymoon Suite" last night at the Phoenix Theatre. The performance itself was...interesting. It was a two-person, one-guitar show. The story was of a couple who traveled around the world, always staying in the... more
Happy we're-almost-to-the-long weekend Wednesday! I have a new blog! As in my first post went up 5 minutes ago. I just learned that the cars in this weekend's drag racing event will go zero - 325 mph. In 4 seconds. SHEESH, that is fast! PLUG... more
An art museum provides a very specific sort of context for its contents. As a visitor walks through the collections, there is a kind of underlying thesis at work: these things all fit, in one way or another, into a broad category.

Lunch was very nice. Excellent service.
Although there are definitely better Italian restaurants in Indianapolis, this is one of those places that has great atmosphere and should be visited for more than the food. The hostess was genuinely helpful and did an excellent job of entertaining my two-and-a-half year old. The waiter was very attentive. I felt my meal was just average, but the consensus of the table was that the meals were very good. The overall experience makes me and my family apt to return. more
What a Stadium!
I toured Lucas Oil Stadium during it's opening weekend and it is an incredible facility. I had the opportunity (based on where I parked for work) to watch this stadium slowly rise the ground and to see it completed is amazing. From the grandeur of the facade to the wide open spaces in the corridors, it is a major step up from the Dome. They opened the roof and the north window while we there and it sent chills up my spine. Go Colts and congratulations on having another spectacular facility in downtown Indy. more
Don't go here - especially with kids
The food was not very good - tasted like a frozen meal that had been microwaved. Service was not friendly. Not recommended. more
